Tutorial for 23andMe
This tutorial is only for users who have undergone genetic testing on 23andme.
First visit the 23andme official website https://www.23andme.com/ and log in. Then click on the avatar in the upper right corner to bring up the drop-down menu and select Resources.
From the page that opens, select Browse Data.
Select Download in the tab bar at the top of the new page.
Then you will see some agreements and warning messages, slide to the bottom of the page and check "I understand..."
For security reasons, 23andme needs to review users' requests for downloading the original data source and notify them through their email after the review. Please wait patiently and check your email in a timely manner.
After about 3 working days, you will receive an email notification from 23andme in your mailbox. Please check the email in your mailbox, click Download Raw Data , and return to the 23andme page for information verification.
You need to verify your identity on the 23andme page (usually date of birth), please verify according to the information you registered and submitted, enter your date of birth and click Confirm .
Once verified, you will go to the download page and click on Download raw genotyping data to download your original data source. If there is no response after clicking the button, please click here to try again , and your download will start and download a .zip file.
Click "Download Raw Data" button
If download doesn't start, click "Restore Download"
Extract the .zip file you downloaded, and the extracted file is your .txt gene metadata. After obtaining your core data file, please visit here, then click Mint LifePass to start the LifePass minting process.
LifePass NFT is now deployed on BNB Smart Chain (BSC Mainnet). You need to connect your wallet to mint your LifePass.
After connecting your wallet, please ensure you have selected BNB Smart Chain network, then click Mint LifePass to enter the minting page.
Now, you can upload the DNA data you downloaded earlier to mint your first on-chain DID based on biological information! To experience our ecosystem earlier, you can also mint an incomplete version of LifePass before receiving the core data to explore our product. Please note that only the complete version of LifePass can enjoy all the benefits.
Before formally uploading data, please check to agree to our relevant policies and regulations, then select the data provider and upload the .txt file you downloaded earlier.
Your core data will then be uploaded, it takes 3 minutes normally, we suggest you to stay on the page till the data has been uploaded.
After the data is successfully uploaded, we need to encrypt and process the core data. Please wait patiently. You can also leave for about 30 minutes and come back to check, as the data will not be lost. Once processing is complete, you can view your LifePass on this page!
